I made this sculpture mounted from the ceiling, I’m happy with it although what you don’t see is the many, many hours of making and breaking a form to get the exact shape I’m looking for. I call this ‘practice’ and I believe it’s as important in visual art as in music.

I try and make sculptures that are direct in their message although sometimes I create sculptures that are easier to simply feel than describe. I’m still waiting for the words with this one.

Upcoming Group Exhibition

I’m taking part in a group exhibition at a prominent new gallery that is just opening in Vancouver called Elan Fine Art.

I’ll have one, possibly two pieces in the show.

It should be an interesting exhibition with artists work such as Cathie Falk, Jeff Koons, Jeff Wall, Anish Kapoor, Douglas Copland, William de kooning, Ray Mead etc. and the gallery space is absolutely beautiful. I’d love to see you there if you can make it.

The opening is on Saturday Feb 25th from 1-5pm
