In these photographs I have created various ways of

using shadows to enhance the forms. In the "Shadow

Line" series the shadow that is created from the carved

line is fundamental for the effect of the finished piece.

The "bird Shadow" forms create a shadow of

a bird on the projected wall behind.

I have chosen to use a bare porcelain surface to

enhance the purity of both form and material. The

creamy white of the porcelain also allows for the shadows

inside and outside of the form to stand out.
