The title of this sculpture is "Kimono". I was inspired by the shape and folds of beautiful Japanese Kimonos.
"Kimono" is Just under 7 feet tall.
It has a space on the inside where the light from the ceiling can shine right through the sculpture towards the ground.
The light appears to be held by "Kimono" as it wraps around the space.
The material I used allows "Kimono" available for indoor or outdoor use.
I called this sculpture"Above and Below", it's mounted from the ceiling and again from the floor to join in mid air.
This is exploring the idea of above and below joining, or the sky and earth meeting.
This is a commissioned piece, it's 4.5 feet tall.
The theme is the idea of love and family.
The beautiful house the sculpture was built into.
